Profile Shop turns your digital business card into a storefront. Sell physical products, digital downloads, services, bookings, subscriptions, or even take donations — all from your profile, with payment through Stripe.

Profile Shop is a PRO feature. Stripe Connect is required.

What you'll need before starting

  • A PRO plan (free trial works)
  • A Stripe account, or willingness to create one
  • For payouts: a bank account in your name (or your business's name)
  • Government-issued ID (Stripe will ask for this as part of KYC verification)
  • Your business tax number if you're operating as a business

1. Connect Stripe

1

Go to Settings → Profile Shop & Stripe.

2

Click "Connect with Stripe." You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow (Stripe Connect).

3

Stripe walks you through:

  • Personal info and ID verification
  • Your business type (individual, company, non-profit)
  • Bank account where your payouts go
  • Tax info
4

Once Stripe confirms your account, you're returned to Anexus. The settings screen now shows your Stripe account ID, payout status, and any pending verification requirements.

Why Stripe asks for so much: Banks and governments require it (KYC, AML laws). Anexus doesn't see or store your ID documents — Stripe handles all that directly. Privacy details here.

2. Create your first product

1

Open the profile editor. Find the Products section.

2

Click "Add product."

3

Pick the type:

  • Physical product — you ship something
  • Digital product — instant download (PDF, audio, video, license)
  • Service — a thing you do for the customer (consultation, repair, design)
  • Subscription — recurring monthly or yearly
  • Donation — customer picks the amount
4

Fill in:

  • Product name, description, price, currency
  • Product image
  • For physical: inventory count, shipping options
  • For subscriptions: billing interval (monthly/yearly)
5

Save. It now appears in your profile's Products section.

3. The fees — what you actually keep

Three things come out of each sale:

FeeAmountCharged by
Stripe processing~2.9% + 30¢ per transaction (varies by country, card)Stripe
Anexus platform fee$1.00 per successful transactionAnexus
Sales tax / VAT / GSTVaries by location, your responsibility to collect & remitGovernment

Example: you sell a $50 service. Stripe takes ~$1.75. Anexus takes $1.00. You receive ~$47.25, minus any tax you owe.

You're responsible for taxes. Anexus doesn't calculate, collect, or remit sales tax on your behalf. Talk to an accountant about what you owe in your jurisdiction. Full terms here.

4. Managing orders

When someone buys something, the order appears in your Shop Orders screen.

1

Click an order to see customer info, product, payment status.

2

Update the fulfillment status: Unfulfilled → Processing → Shipped → Delivered. The customer gets an email at each stage.

3

For shipped orders, add a tracking number so the customer can follow their package.

4

Add private notes (just for you) or customer-facing notes (visible on their receipt).

5. Refunds

1

From the order, click "Issue refund."

2

Choose full or partial refund. The amount returns to the customer's payment method within 5–10 business days.

What's refunded: The product price returns to the customer. Stripe's processing fee is also refunded (Stripe doesn't keep it). The Anexus $1 platform fee is not refunded — it covers our processing work that already happened.

6. Subscriptions — managing recurring customers

Subscriptions live in the same Orders screen, but renew automatically each billing cycle. You can:

  • See active subscriptions and their next billing date
  • Handle past-due (Stripe retries automatically; customer email gets sent)
  • Cancel at the end of the current billing period
  • Cancel immediately (with refund of unused time, if you choose)

7. Discount codes

1

Go to Settings → Coupon Codes.

2

Create a code: set the discount (e.g. 15% off), how many times it can be used total, and when it expires.

3

Share the code in your marketing. Customers enter it manually at checkout — codes don't auto-apply.

What you can't sell

Stripe and Anexus prohibit certain categories. The full list is in our Terms of Use (Section 5.7), but the highlights:

  • Illegal goods in your jurisdiction
  • Firearms, drugs, gambling, adult content (except where explicitly permitted)
  • Counterfeit or pirated goods
  • Investment / financial products you're not licensed to offer
  • Anything that violates someone else's intellectual property

Stripe enforces these too — they can suspend your account independently of us.

If Stripe holds your funds

Stripe sometimes places reserves or delays payouts (suspicious activity, high chargebacks, missing verification). That's between you and Stripe — we can't override it. The Stripe dashboard will explain what they need from you.
